Spring is right around the corner, which means soon our newsfeeds will be full of wedding photos and announcements. Couples planning to get married next year will be scouring the internet for inspiration. We wanted to get the ball rolling and share some floral filled wedding inspiration. This styled shoot was designed by Ivy Ferguson, of Ivy Marie Weddings, specifically for The Lodge. Being a brand new venue, we wanted to show couples all the potential this property has.
Ivy used shades of blue as the underlying theme, while sprawling florals rounded out the design. A combination of fabrics gives this classic design a modern feel. Velvet napkins and a chiffon table runner softened the dark wood farm table. A blue and white invitation suite with elegant script is reminiscent of weddings of old, while the acrylic place cards and table numbers offer a younger, more playful vibe. This design is a perfect marriage of old and new.
As amazing as the tablescape and invitations are, we can’t forget about the ceremony and lounge spaces. We love when couples get creative with ceremony backdrops. Ivy showed our clients how to do just that with a pair of vintage doors from Miss Milly’s. Following the ceremony, guests whet their appetite with hors d’oeuvres and drinks at the open bar. A great way to add a little extra flair to your design is by including a lounge area for your guests to relax before they take their seats for dinner. Take a look at these sweet arrangements:
